Grenke Chess Classic is back after five years with a spectacular field headlined by five-time World Champion Magnus Carlsen! The event takes place from 26 March – 1 April, as a 6-player double round-robin, with two 45-minute games played each day. Along with Magnus Carlsen, the event includes Ding Liren, Vincent Keymer, Richard Rapport, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and Daniel Fridman.
Magnus Carlsen maintained the sole leadership in the event with half a point advantage over Richard Rapport who is in clear second place. The Open event is simultaneously underway and detailed information about the Open are available here.
