The Grand Chess Tour 2024 series of five events starts in May this year with the Superbet Poland Rapid & Blitz in Warsaw! The tour consists of two classical and three rapid & blitz tournaments, and the exact schedule of the events can be found here.
Grand Chess Tour now announced the Full Tour Players. The 2024 edition of the Grand Chess Tour features nine full tour players who will compete in both classical events, and one of the three blitz tournaments. World No2 Fabiano Caruana headlines the field, and will try to repeat his success from 2023 when he won the Grand Chess Tour series.

Tour participants will compete for a recently increased prize purse of $1.5 million. The prize fund for each of the two classical tournaments will be $350,000 and $175,000 per event for rapid and blitz. In addition, a bonus prize fund totaling $275,000 will be awarded according to the final overall tour rankings.
