Hikaru Nakamura was paired against his compatriot Wesley So in the Semifinal of the Champions Chess Tour Chessable Masters.

By winning one game and drawing remaining three for the total score of 2.5-1.5 Nakamura edged past So and qualified for the Winners Final match against Fabiano Caruana. Caruana eliminated Vladislav Artemiev in the thrilling Armageddon game.
