The Charlotte Chess Center will organize its 7th annual Elite Chess Camp from 10-14th June 2024, featuring 4 world-class trainers and dozens of the nation’s top junior players.
The Camp will take place at Hilton Charlotte University Place, 8629 J M Keynes Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.
The Lead Instructors are former World Champion Veselin Topalov, the strongest female chess player of all time Judit Polgar, medal-winning Indian national coach RB Ramesh, and former World Youth Champion, Charlotte Chess Center Resident Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky.
This camp provides 25+ hours of the highest level of instruction available, plus simuls against the renowned instructors. This annual camp is the strongest non-invitational camp in the country – many former Elite campers have gone on to become GMs and IMs.
Eligibility:
- Due to the high level of chess and maturity required for this camp, there is a minimum student age of 11 years old and minimum USCF/FIDE peak rating requirement of 1900. Do not register if you do not meet the requirements.
- Adults rated 1900+ are welcome, with the understanding that camp enrollment will primarily be U18.
- Prospective students who do not quite meet the rating or age requirements should email us to join the waitlist.
- Groups are assigned based on age, rating, and experience.
- Each day, all 4 groups meet with each instructor for 75 minutes each for a total of 5 hours of serious training.
- Every student will have the same amount of time with each instructor.
