European Women’s Rapid Chess Championship 2023 is taking place on 13-14 January with 11 rounds, swiss system, with the time control of 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment. The total prize fund of the events is 22.500 EUR.
More than 120 players from 24 European federations registered for the tournament, including former World Chess Champions: GM Alexandra Kosteniuk (SUI), GM Antoaneta Stefanova (BUL), GM Anna Ushenina (UKR), and GM Nona Gaprindashvili (GEO). Among the top seeds are world known players: GM Paehtz Elisabeth (GER), GM Pia Cramling (SWE), GM Bella Khotenashvili (GEO), IM Nurgyul Salimova (BUL), Sarasadat Khademalsharieh (ESP) etc.
