World No1 Magnus Carlsen emerged as the Winner of the first-ever Fischer Random tournament with the classical time control. Carlsen clinched Freestyle Chess GOAT Challenge after defeating World No2 Fabiano Caruana in the finals.

The first game of the final match finished in a draw, but Magnus took the victory in the second game to become the Winner of the event. Fabiano Caruana opened badly today, and the five-time World Champion took a huge advantage in the very early part of the game. Caruana tried to defend, but Magnus gave no chance. On his path to the tournament victory and the first prize of $60,000, Magnus Carlsen defeated Alireza Firouzja (Round 1), Nodirbek Abdusattorov (Semi-finals), and now Fabiano Caruana (Finals).
