International Chess Federation FIDE announced the first commentator of the Candidates Tournament 2024! Eight-time US Women’s Chess Champion GM Irina Krush will be in the commentator seat, but FIDE hasn’t revealed who will join her in the commentators’ studio.
Just a week before the start of the Candidates, Irina Krush will be in the players’ role at the American Chess Cup 2024 where she’ll defend the 2023 title. Besides her great playing skills, Krush showed captivating commentary skills in many events, including the World Chess Championship Match 2023 between Ding Liren and Ian Nepomniachtchi.
