The 2024 European Corporate Chess Championship concluded in Asnières-sur-Seine, Paris, France. The event was a great success with the participation of 57 teams including world known companies and brands.
The top seeded team Europe Echecs emerged as the sole Winner of the event scoring 25 match points. The French team suffered a loss in the third round, against TePe Sigeman, but made a huge comeback and clinched gold after winning all the remaining matches.
The Winning team was competing in the following composition:
1. GM Gata Kamsky (USA, 2630)
2. IM Timothe Razafindratsima (FRA, 2340)
3. IM Victor Stephan (FRA, 2306)
4. Andre Tulliez (FRA, 1976)
5. Paul Saglier (FRA, 2226)
Team Leonard clinched silver medal with the score of 24 match points, after suffering a loss against the Winners and drawing a match against Ukrainian Greco.
Scoring 22 match points, PwC Poland and KPMG tied for bronze medal and the tiebreak criteria determined the third medalist. PwC Poland had higher number of wins, claiming bronze.
