The Asian Continental Chess Championships (the Open Championship and the Women’s Championship) will be held from June 3-12, 2023 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. More than 80 players registered for the tournament and GM Arjun Erigaisi (India, 2702), GM Sethuraman S.P. (India, 2606), GM Abhimanyu Puranik (India, 2602) and GM Pranav V (India, 2608) headline the field. The event is played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with total prize fund of $100,000 and four qualification spots for the FIDE World Cup 2023.
