The latest editions of Titled Tuesday events took place on 14th May on Chess.com.
Hikaru Nakamura won both Early and Late Titled Tuesday to complete his second double victory in less than a month, and his seventh overall.
Nakamura scored 10.5/11 points in the Early TT where he shared the top position with Alexander Grischuk but sported a better tiebreak. In the Late TT, however, 9.5/11 points was enough for a clear first place.
Titled Tuesday (TT) is Chess.comโs weekly 11-round Swiss tournament for titled players, occurring twice each Tuesday at 8 a.m. PT and 2 p.m. PT. The time control is 3 min + 1 sec.
The total prize fund for the day is USD 5000, with USD 1000 dedicated to the winner of each event.
The participation was massive, with 747 players in the Early and 544 in the Late event.
In the Early TT Hikaru Nakamura and Alexander Grischuk started with 8 consecutive wins before drawing each other in round 9. The both won the final two rounds to complete the event with 10.5 points each.

In the Late TT Nakamura was stunned in round 2 by FM Lucas do Valle Cardoso. He immediately returned on the winning way, by scoring seven consecutive points, before drawing GM Benjamin Bok and beating GM Daniil Dubov. A total of 9.5 points was this time sufficient for undisputed tournament victory. A large tie of eight players finished on 9 points each.
