Wadim Rosenstein, a Russian tycoon and sponsor of the WR chess team, confirmed to Hans Niemann that WR Chess Masters High Roller with $1 million buy-in will take place on 21st November in Duesseldorf, Germany.
The venue is changed from the original tweet claiming Weissenhaus Private Nature Luxury Resort to Duesseldorf Hyatt Hotel.
The 1-day rapid tournament with 15-minutes time control should feature four players with $4 million stakes in prizes.
Rosenstein said that Fabiano Caruana, Ian Nepomniachtchi and Nodirbek Abdusattorov are confirmed as participants. It is not clear who is staking for these three players.
The fourth invitation is extended to Hans Niemann, provided that he can afford a $1 million buy-in.
A rapid tournament is registered on FIDE rating server.
