On June 7-9, in Madrid, Spain, Vladimir Kramnik will battle Jose Martinez Alcántara (Jospem) in a 36-game blitz match. 18 games will be played on a chess board, and 18 games will be played Online, on laptops.
The match represents a fight for integrity and fair play in chess and it’s branded as The Clash of Claims. Just two weeks ago, Vladimir Kramnik resigned on move two against Jose Martinez during the Titled Tuesday. Kramnik explained that he doesn’t want to play against players who have “weird chess.com statistics” and called chess.com to publish their reports. The over-the-board live match will leave no room for allegations.
The match is organized by David Martínez (@El_Divis). Live commentary will be provided by two legends: GM José Cuenca Jiménez and IM Levy Rozman (GothamChess).
