The Serbian Chess Championships in Open and Women’s sections are set to take place from 6-14th December in Bajina Basta. Both events will be 10-player round robins.
The top seed in the open section is three-times champion GM Aleksandar Indjic, while the reigning champion GM Velimir Ivic is back to defend the title. The field also includes the experienced GMs Ivan Ivanisevic, Milos Perunovic, Boban Bogosavljevic and Aleksandar Kovacevic.
Stemming from the qualifiers are Captain of the national team IM Miodrag Perunovic, IM Nikola Radovanovic, IM Vuk Djordjevic and FM Ivan Martic.
In the Women’s section the top seed is the defending champion WGM Jovana Eric. The field includes WIM Marina Gajcin, WIM Jovana Srdanovic, WIM Ljilja Drljevic, Captain of the national team WGM Irina Chelushkina, WGM Maria Manakova, WFM Andjela Bojicic, WFM Milena Vujcic, Andjela Dimitrijevic and Anastasia Grozdanovic.
