The 6th edition of the Salamanca – Cradle of Modern Chess Festival takes place from April 25 to 29 in Salamanca. The Festival includes a wide program of activities with the masters tournament as one of the main event.
The Masters competition is played as the 8-player round-robin event with participation of: GM Veselin Topalov, GM Kirill Alekseenko, GM Jaime Santos Latasa, GM Vasyl Ivanchuk, IM Sarasadat Khademalsharieh, IM Gunay Mammadzada, GM Anna Ushenina and IM Sabrina Vega Gutierrez. The time control of the tournament is 40 minutes for the entire game, plus a 5-second increment starting from move one.
