Magnus Carlsen storming through Superbet final day

Day 5 of the 2024 Superbet Poland Rapid & Blitz saw the thrilling finale in the race between overnight leader Wei Yi and Magnus Carlsen.

Carlsen won 10(!!) consecutive games to overtake Wei Yi by just half a point. This is Carlsen’s seventh tournament victory in a row, including Champions Chess Tour Final, World Rapid Championship, World Blitz Championship, Chessable Masters, Freestyle Chess G.O.A.T Challenge, Grenke Chess Classic and now Superbet Rapid & Blitz Poland.

Meanwhile, Wei Yi won the Tata Steel Masters 2024.
