The Las Vegas Chess Open 2024 is set to take place from 23-25th August at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The Open is organized by the Southern Nevada Chess Club and the Las Vegas International Chess Festival team.
The event has five sections: Premier (for players rated over 1900), Under 2100, Under 1800, Under 1500, Under 1200. The top two sections are FIDE rated.
The tournament format is 5-round Swiss with the time control G/90 d30 (2-day option, rounds 1-2 G/60 d10).
The event has a $20,000 prize fund based on 200 entries.
