The annual Perth International Chess Open 2024 was held from 1-4th March at the Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough, Western Australia.
IM Partick Gong emerged convincing winner of the event by winning all 7 games and leaving the nearest opposition far point and a half behind. FM Yihe Fu is clear second with 5,5 points, while Jacob Bumbak and Angela Feng shared the third place with 5 points each. The Open had 30 participants.
The Minor section, reserved for the players rated below 1500 FIDE or below 1600 ACF, had 19 participants. Chintushig Chinbat and Lyndon While shared the first place with 6,0/7 points each.
The event was organized by the Chess Association of Western Australia. The total prize fund was AUD 6800. Tournament website
