The latest editions of Titled Tuesday events took place on 23rd April on Chess.com.
Hikaru Nakamura, fresh of completing the Candidates Chess Tournament, claimed both Early and Late Titled Tuesday to complete his first double victory since 14th Feb 2023, and his sixth overall.
Nakamura scored 10/11 points in both events, winning the Late TT alone, while in the Early TT he had better tiebreak than Alireza Firouzja.
Titled Tuesday (TT) is Chess.comโs weekly 11-round Swiss tournament for titled players, occurring twice each Tuesday at 8 a.m. PT and 2 p.m. PT. The time control is 3 min + 1 sec.
The total prize fund for the day is USD 5000, with USD 1000 dedicated to the winner of each event.
The participation was massive, with 738 players in the Early and 527 in the Late event.
In the Early TT Hikaru Nakamura started with 7 consecutive wins before drawing Magnus Carlsen and Alireza Firouzja. He proceeded with victories against Jan-Krzysztof Duda and Rudik Makarian.

In the Late TT Nakamura again started with 7 consecutive wins before drawing Magnus Carlsen (again) and Nihal Sarin. Final victories against fellow streamers Jose Martinez and Oleksandr Bortnyk sealed the tournament. American GM Christopher Yoo surged to second place with 9,5 points, while Magnus Carlsen claimed third on superior tiebreaks.
