The second match of the “Hans Niemann against the World Series” is set to take place from 14-18th August at the Gem Fitzrovia Hotel in London, UK.
Niemann’s opponent is Grandmaster Nikita Vitiugov who recently joined the English Chess Federation. The prize fund is $20,000 with $13,000 dedicated to the match winner.
Each match in the Series will consist of: 6 classical games over 3 days (double rounds), 6 rapid games over 1 day, and 12 blitz games over 1 day. Games are weighted as 3/2/1 points, depending on the format.
In the first match of the Series Niemann defeated Anish Giri in Utrecht, Netherlands.
The London Match will start on 14th August from 10:00 with two Classical games. The match will be broadcasted live on Hans Niemann’s Twitch.
