The third match of the “Hans Niemann against the World Series” is taking place from 20-24th August at the Blitz Society Bar in Paris, France.
Niemann’s opponent is Grandmaster Etienne Bacrot. The prize fund is $30,000 with $18,000 dedicated to the match winner.
Each match in the Series will consist of: 6 classical games over 3 days (double rounds), 6 rapid games over 1 day, and 12 blitz games over 1 day. Games are weighted as 3/2/1, depending on the format.
In the first match of the Series Niemann defeated Anish Giri in Utrecht, Netherlands, and in the second match he outplayed Nikita Vitiugov in London.
