The 2023 FIDE Women’s Candidates Final is taking place from March 27 to April 6 in Chongqing, China, as a 6-game match between Lei Tingjie and Tan Zhongyi. The format of the Women’s Candidates Tournament was changed into two 4-player pools events whose winners qualified for the Women’s Candidates finals. The first event took place in Monaco and the second tournament was held in Khiva, Uzbekistan. The Winner of the FIDE Women’s Candidates Final will challenge Ju Wenjun for the Women’s World Championship title.
