The Mitropa Cup 2024 concluded yesterday in Apolda, Germany, and the home teams won the historical double gold winning both Open and Women’s events!
The Winner of the Open section was known even before the last round, as the German Open team won the event with the round to spare. Eventually, they finished the tournament with all victories and a dominating result of 18 match points. Switzerland followed with the score of 14 match points, and Czech Republic won bronze with 12 match points.
German Women’s team scored 16 match points to emerge clear winner in the Women’s event. France trailed by two match points and clinched silver with 14 match points, and Switzerland came third with 12 match points.
