The Djerba Chess Festival 2024 starts this weekend at Tunisian Djerba Island and will be played from 18-25 February at the luxury Hotel Fiesta Beach. The Festival features Masters, Open A, Open B, Open C and Amateur tournaments.
The main Masters event gathers eight invited players and GM Hans Niemann (USA, 2675) headlines the field, which includes GM Aryan Tari (Norway, 2635), GM Jules Moussard (France, 2630), GM Vasyl Ivanchuk (Ukraine, 2623), GM Daniel Dardha (Belgium, 2602), GM Marc’Andria Maurizzi (France, 2597), GM Bilel Bellahcene (Algeria, 2516) and IM Divya Deshmukh (India, 2427).
