The 9th edition of the Sunway Sitges International Chess Festival is taking place from 11th – 22nd December in Sitges, Barcelona. The Festival features two Open tournaments (A and B), blitz side events, and masterclasses. The main tournament is Open A which is going to be played in 10 rounds according to the swiss system, with a time control of 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, 30 minutes for the rest of the game, and increment of 30 seconds from the move one.
