The 14th Annual Central California Chess Open will take place from 9-11th August at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Convention Center in Fresno, California, USA.
The event has four sections: Major (for players rated over 1900), Under 2100, Under 1700 and Under 1300. The top two sections are FIDE rated.
The tournament format is 5-round Swiss with the time control 40/80, SD/30, d30 (2-day option, rounds 1-2 G/60 d10).
The event has a $10,000 guaranteed prize fund.
Major Section: $1500-800-400-300, clear/tiebreak 1st $100 bonus, top USCF U2300 $600-300.
Under 2100 Section: $1000-500-250-150, top Under 1900/Unr $400-200. FIDE rated.
Under 1700 Section: $700-400-200-150, top Under 1500 (no unr) $300-150.
Under 1300 Section: $500-250-150-100, top Under 1100 (no unr) $200-100.
Top rated players are GM Melikset Khachiyan 2414, GM Enrico Sevillano 2333 and FM Jonathan Chen 2193.
