The 29th Annual Bradley Chess Open will take place from 26-28th July at the Sheraton Hartford Hotel at Bradley Airport, Windsor Locks, Connecticut, USA.
The event has five sections: Major (for players rated over 1900), Under 2100, Under 1800, Under 1500 and Under 1200. The top two sections are FIDE rated.
The tournament format is 5-round Swiss with the time control 40/80, SD/30, d30 (2-day option, rounds 1-2 G/60 d10).
The event has a $15,000 guaranteed prize fund.
Major: $2000-1000-600-400, clear/tiebreak winner $100 bonus, top USCF U2300 $600-300.
Under 2100: $1000-500-300-200, top U1900/Unr $400-200.
Under 1800: $1000-500-300-200, top U1600 (no Unr) $400-200.
Under 1500: $800-450-300-200, top U1300 (no Unr) $300-150.
Under 1200: $600-400-200-100, top U1000 (no Unr) $200-100.
Top rated players are Grandmasters Zhou Jianchao (CHN 2581), Fidel Corrales Jimenez (USA 2538), Mark Paragua (PHI 2447) and Alexander Ivanov (USA 2416).
