Arianne Caoili Memorial Weekender 2024 will take place from 23-25th August at the Broadbeach Cultural Centre in Broadbeach Waters, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
The Gold Coast Chess Club cordially invites you to our 4th annual event to commemorate the life and chess of WIM Arianne Caoili, who began her chess journey at Somerset College and tragically passed away in 2020 in her prime.
There will be two Divisions:
Open Division, 7-round Swiss tournament for the and a
Minor Division, for players rated U1800 ACF, 6-round Swiss tournament
Time Control: 60 minutes + 30 seconds increment from move 1
Both Divisions will be rated with FIDE and ACF.

Last year’s tournament, held on September 2-3, saw an impressive turnout of 105 participants, including 9 titled players. The event was won by Australia’s renowned Grandmasters, Zong-Yuan Zhao and David Smerdon, both finishing with 5.5/6 points.
