The 28th Eastern Chess Congress 2024 will take place from 25-27th October at the Westin Princeton in Forrestal Village, Princeton, New Jersey, USA.
The event has seven sections: Premier (for players rated over 2000), Under 2100, Under 1900, Under 1700, Under 1500, Under 1300 and Under 1000. The top two sections are FIDE rated.
The tournament format is 5-round Swiss with the time control 40/80, SD/30, d30 (2-day option, rounds 1-2 G/60 d10).
The event has a $25,000 guaranteed prize fund.
Premier Section: $3000-1500-800-500, clear or tiebreak winner $100 bonus, top USCF Under 2300 $1000-500. FIDE rated.
Under 2100 Section:$1800-900-500-300. FIDE rated.
Under 1900 Section: $1500-800-500-300
Under 1700 Section: $1400-700-400-300
Under 1500 Section: $1200-600-400-200
Under 1300 Section: $1100-600-400-200
Under 1000 Section: $800-400-300-200
