The 39th European Club Cup and the 28th European Women’s Club Cup will be held from 19-27th October in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia.
The teams in the Open section will be composed of 6 players + 2 reserve players, and the Women’s section teams will feature 4 players + 1 reserve player.
The events will be played in 7 rounds, Swiss system, with the classical time control.
A total of 103 teams registered for the events, 84 teams will compete in the Open tournament, and 19 teams in the Women’s championship.
European Club Cup Champion from 2023, Offerspill Chess Club with Magnus Carlsen, is not coming back to defend the title.
