Chess.com has announced the second edition of Team Chess Battle, starting on October 7. Teams of two play the same game and can talk to each other to discuss moves and strategies.
This edition will not feature top Grandmasters like the previous one that had the likes of Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana, Wesley So and Anish Giri.
The event is aimed at streaming community and audience with some of the biggest celebrities in chess. The prize fund is symbolic $10,000.
The event continues with its entertaining format, where teams of two play the same game and can talk to each other. The format allows fans to get a unique insight into the thought process of the greatsโand enjoy top-tier trash talk, too.
