The 2024 edition of the Tepe Sigeman Chess tournament will take place from 27 April to 3 May in Malmo, Sweden. The event will be played as an 8-player round-robin, with the participation of the world-known Grandmasters.
GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov (Uzbekistan, 2750) headlines the field which includes GM Arjun Erigaisi (India, 2748), GM Vincent Keymer (Germany, 2738), the Winner of the TePe Sigeman 2023 event GM Peter Svidler (FIDE, 2689), GM Nils Grandelius (Sweden, 2664), GM Anton Korobov (Ukraine, 2662), GM Marc’Andria Maurizzi (France, 2602), and reigning Women’s World Chess Champion GM Ju Wenjun (China, 2559).
The event will be played in 7 rounds (round-robin) with the time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves and then 30 minutes for the remaining moves with 30 seconds cumulative increment for each move starting from the first move. The Malmo draws rule will be in effect, meaning that no draws will be allowed before move 40.
