Dubai Police Headquarters / Sports Affairs Department organizes the 1st Dubai Police World Master’s Chess Championship from 3rd-13th May 2024 in Dubai.
The event will be played over three categories: Masters (for players rated 2300+), Open (for players rated U2300), and Youth (for players born in 2006 or later). The event features the prize fund of $125,000, with $16,000 reserved for the Winner of the Masters event. The distribution of prizes is shown below.
The events will be played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with the time control of 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment, and the draw offers will not be allowed before Black’s 30th move. The organizers will provide special conditions for grandmasters rated 2700+. The registration deadline is April 3rd, 2024.
