Magnus had three goals for 2023: win the game with 1.b3, have fun, and win a game from -10 (engine evaluation). It was two out of three for the World No1 who only didn’t manage to fulfill the first goal as he hadn’t won the game with 1.b3 in 2023! Carlsen has also set three new goals for this year, and those are:
