Grandmaster Ivan Šarić emerged convincing winner of the 2022 Croatian Chess Championship with 7.5/11 points, leaving the nearest followers a full point behind. This is Šarić’s fourth national title, having previously won in 2009, 2013 and 2018.
The 12-player round robin Championship was held from 29th November to 9th December at hotel Pax in Split. The total prize fund was 10.000 EUR, with champion taking home 2800 EUR.
