Super chess tournament WR Chess Masters 2023 will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany, from February 14 to 27, 2023. The event gathers 10 elite grandmasters with the World Chess Championship challenger Ian Nepomniachtchi topping the field and this might be the ultimate chess tournament for Nepo before the World Chess Championship match against Ding Liren.
The event includes Dutch No.1 and World No.7 Anish Giri, three-time US Champion and World No.8 Wesley So, World No.17 Levon Aronian, Poland’s No.1 and World No.19 Jan-Krzysztof Duda and well-known youngsters Dommaraju Gukesh, Vincent Keymer, Praggnanandhaa and Andrey Esipenko.
