The 29th edition of the International Chess Festival Grand Hotel Adriatico took place from 20-22 December in Montesilvano, Italy.
The event gathered 44 entries, and was played in 5 rounds, swiss system, with 2.200 euros in prizes. After five played rounds, as many as six players scored 4 points to tie for the top, sharing first place: GM Oleg Korneev (Spain, 2473), FM Fulvio Zamengo (Italy, 2348), IM Edoardo Di Benedetto (Italy, 2411), FM Valerio Carnicelli (Italy, 2362), Gaudio Di Giacinto (Italy, 1914) and Zanas Nainys (Lithuania, 2310).
