Nine-year-old England’s chess star Bodhana Sivanandan joins the WR Chess Masters Cup 2024 which will be played from 14-18 October in London, England.
The event’s list of participants needed to be updated once again, this time with Bodhana Sivanandan (England, 2196 standard rating) replacing Daniil Dubov (FIDE, 2693 standard rating). As per our information, Daniil Dubov didn’t receive visa for the tournament, and Ian Nepomniachtchi is facing the same issue as he posted in his twitter/X account.
Bodhana Sivanandan is showing exceptional performance in the last years, aiming to become the youngest Grandmaster in the world and eventually to be like Magnus Carlsen. In December last year, world’s mass media reported about Bodhana’s success at the European Blitz Chess Championship where she clinched top women’s prize and finished sharing 53-80 place in a competition of 555 players. This year, Bodhana was the youngest chess player ever to represent England at the Chess Olympiad 2024.
