WIM Kateryna Dolzhykova leads German Women’s Chess Open Championship

The German Women’s International Open Chess Championship 2024 takes place from 6-10 March in Augsburg, Germany. The event is played as the Open tournament for female players with 30 participants who compete over the course of 9 swiss rounds.

After three played rounds, WIM Kateryna Dolzhykova (Germany, 2259) emerged as the sole leader of the event as the only player with the perfect score of 3/3 points. The top-seeded IM Nataliya Buksa (Ukraine, 2388) follows with 2.5 points, together with WFM Antonia Ziegenfuss (Germany, 2214) and IM Iva Videnova-Kuljasevic (Bulgaria, 2325) who have the same score.
