The Superbet Chess Classic Romania is taking place from 25th June to 5th July at the Grand Hotel in Bucharest, Romania.
The 10-player round robin tournament features nine Grand Chess Tour regulars and one wildcard, local Romanian favorite Bogdan-Daniel Deac. The total prize fund is $350,000.
The only decisive game in round 6 was Alireza Firouzja’s win versus Wesley So. Firouzja is now on the shared second place, half a point behind the leader Fabiano Caruana.
