The Singapore International Chess Open 2024 is set to take place from 29th November to 5th December in conjunction with the World Chess Championship Match.
The tournament will be held at the Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre, minutes from the World Chess Championship Match between World Champion Ding Liren and Challenger Dommaraju Gukesh.
The tournament will be divided into two sections:
Group A for players rated over 1800
Group B for players rated under 1900
The tournament format is 9-round Swiss with possibly accelerated pairings with the classical time control 90 min + 30 sec. Draw offers are not allowed before move 30.
The winner of the Group A will be awarded with US$11,000, while the winner of the Group B takes home US$1,500. There will be 15 cash prizes in each Group plus prizes for women, veterans and rating categories.

IM/WIM/GM/WGM – free
Group A rated over 2000 – $200
Group A rated under 2000 – $250
Group B all – $250
