The 2023 Norway Chess kicks off this Monday with the Norway Chess Blitz tournament. The Winner of the Blitz competition will get the chance to pick their pairing number for the main event which will be held from May 30 to June 9 in Stavanger, Norway.
One of the worldโs most prestigious chess tournaments, Norway Chess 2023, promises to be a highly competitive and exciting event this year. The event will be played from May 29 โ June 9 in a round-robin format with Armageddon playoffs for each drawn game. Five-time World Champion Magnus Carlsen tops the field which includes Alireza Firouzja, Anish Giri, Wesley So, Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana, Aryan Tari, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, and Dommaraju Gukesh from India.
