The Dortmund Chess Festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a NC (No Castling) event and two Open tournaments to be held from 24th June to 2nd July at the Westfalenhallen/Kongresszentrum/Goldsaal in Dortmund, Germany.
The NC World Masters had its premiere in 2021 with the match between Viswanathan Anand and Vladimir Kramnik. In 2022 Dmitrij Kollars celebrated the biggest success of his career by winning the four-player tournament ahead of Anand.
The following 4 players will compete in a double round robin on the stage in the Goldsaal from 26 June in No Castling World Masters:
Vladimir Kramnik, 10-time winner in Dortmund
Fabiano Caruana, 3-time winner in Dortmund
Pavel Eljanov, 2-time winner in Dortmund
Dmitrij Kollars, defending champion in the NC World Masters
The total prize fund for the Open tournaments is 25.000 EUR. Top prizes in Open A are: EUR 5.000, 3.000, 2.000, 1.400, 1.200, 1.000, 800, 600, 400, 200.
Open A is for the players rated over 1800 DWZ/ELO and Open B is for the players rated under 1901 DWZ/ELO.
