The New Zealand Chess Federation Council has announced the national teams that will represent the country at the 45th Chess Olympiad.
The 2024 Chess Olympiad will take place from 10-23 September in Budapest, Hungary.
Open Team:
FM Nicolas Croad (automatic selection as New Zealand champion)
FM Daniel Gong (2023 national champion)
IM Tom Middelburg
IM Sravan Renjith
FM Felix Xie
Non-travelling reserve: IM Anthony Ker
Coach/Captain is GM FST Dejan Bojkov. The Open Team is not in board order โ this will be confirmed closer to the closing date of registration (order here is alphabetical by surname).

NZCF is running an Olympiad Appeal inviting chess supporters to contribute to the teams in achieving international success. All donations will go to supporting players as they represent New Zealand on the global stage.
