The Marshall Chess Club Labor Day Invitational 2024 was held from 29th August to 2nd September at the legendary Marshall Chess Club in New York City, USA.
The event consisted of two sections, GM A and IM B. Both sections were 10-player round robins with the classical time control.
In the GM A tournament IM Kyron Griffith emerged convincing winner with 7/9 points, a full point ahead of the nearest followers. Griffith earned his second Grandmaster norm.
FM Samrug Narayanan completing the International Master title requirements with 5.5/9 points.
Levy Rozman โ GothamChess could not keep up the great form he had throughout the summer and finished second to last with 2 points.
The IM B was very closely contested with Mykola Bortnyk UKR 2432 ending up the sole winner with 5.5/9 points.
