Chesscom’s Titled Tuesday blitz events took place yesterday, with Early and Late Titled Tuesdays on the schedule.
The Early Titled Tuesday gathered more than 850 players and Polish grandmaster Kacper Piorun emerged as the winner of the event. Scoring 10/11 points, Kacper Piorun and Christopher Yoo tied for first, but Piorun had better tiebreak criteria to win the tournament. “Guys, I’m so over the moon“, said Kacper who streamed the event on his Twitch channel for the first time.
As many as three players tied for the first place in the Late Titled Tuesday: Hikaru Nakamura, Nihal Sarin and Dmitry Andreikin. Hikaru Nakamura won the event having the best tiebreak criteria. “Yeah! Let’s go! We’ve got the win!” said Nakamura seeing the final standings.
