CMย Bernard Anhwereย and WCMย Maud Bensonย emerged as the winners of the recently concluded Ghana National Chess Championship which determined the national teams for the Chess Olympiad 2026. The top five finishers in both Open and Women’s categories will represent Ghana as The Golden Knights at the 46th World Chess Olympiad in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, later this year.
Organized by the Ghana Chess Association, the event was held in Accra and brought together top chess players from across the country.
