Gata Kamsky Wins the Hybrid B-Cup in Paris

The B-Cup, a hybrid chess competition organized by Kévin Bordi aka Blitzstream, took place in Paris on August 31 and September 1. More than a hundred chess players gathered at ESpot, a Parisian space dedicated to gaming and eSports, to compete on the online chess platform Chess.com.

This original format enabled the participants to play more games, and provided live monitoring of the matches while being broadcasted online with comments from Kévin Bordi and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave.

Several grandmasters participated in this event, including the French champion Jules Moussard, the vice-champion of France Laurent Fressinet, the French team player Natacha Benmesbah, the 2016 French champion Matthieu Cornette, the grandmaster Fabien Libiszewski, and former world championship challenger/FFL Gata Kamsky.

Gata Kamsky won in the final against Laurent Fressinet.
