Theย 2024 FIDE Women’s World Blitz Chess Championshipย is taking place from 30-31 December in New York, USA. The event is played with 11-swiss rounds scheduled for day 1, followed by 8-player knock-out event with 4-game matches.
The top seeded players are GM Lei Tingjie (China, 2491 blitz rating), GM Tan Zhongyi (China, 2486 blitz rating), GM Ju Wenjun (China, 2480 blitz rating), GM Alexandra Kosteniuk (Switzerland, 2451 blitz rating) and GM Kateryna Lagno (FIDE, 2444 blitz rating). The total prize fund of the event is $200,000, with $60,000 reserved for the Winner.
