Fabiano Caruana won back to back tournaments in Saint Louis, first the U.S. Chess Championship and then the Champions Showdown: Chess9LX.
Caruana finished the Fischer Random tournament with 7,5/9 points, half a point ahead of his great rival Hikaru Nakamura.
The Champions Showdown: Chess9LX took place from 27-30th October, featuring top players from the United States and the retired former World Champion Garry Kasparov.
