European Women’s Chess Championship 2024 in Rhodes, Greece

The 24th edition of theย European Womenโ€™s Chess Championship will be held from 18-30 April 2024, in the 5***** โ€œRodos Palaceโ€ Conference Hotel in Rhodes, Greece.

The event will be played in 10 rounds, swiss system, with the time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds for each move.

The European Individual Womenโ€™s Chess Championship 2024 is a qualification event for the FIDE Womenโ€™s World Cup 2025. According to the decision of the European Chess Union, at least 10 players will qualify* (*Final decision about the granted spots comes by FIDE). The total prize fund of the Championship isย 60.000 EURย with 10.000 EUR reserved for the Winner of the event. Altogether with 20 regular prizes for the best ranked players, the organizers provided special prizes for the two best Greek players. The list of prizes can be seen below.

The event is open to all women players representing national federations listed as ECU members, without rating or title limitations. The deadline for registrations and bookings is theย 19th of February 2024.ย The official hotel and the playing venue of the event is Rodos Palace Conference Hotel.
